Rob Kunzig, a senior editor at National Geographic, explains how deep of an issue urban sprawl has become. Urban sprawl negatively affects the environment and has also caused economic and social justice issues. Low transportation access creates a divide between those who can and cannot access opportunities. A possible solution is targeting these issues with greener technology to increase public transportation and fund safer infrastructure.
